Conflict, Crafting, and Chaos on Colossal Train

Enginefall is a player-driven crafting shooter set on colossal, post-apocalyptic megatrains. Start in the tail alone or with friends as you scavenge, craft, and build your way to First Class. Seize better gear car by car, and escape with high-value loot to upgrade your personal home on the rails.

Build and Command Your Own Train

Turn your Dagger shuttle from a rust bucket to a sleek assault craft, and eventually take control of a fully player-owned Marauder train. Expand from a single carriage into a chain of workshops, bunk rooms, and gun decks, then keep it supplied by hitting Titan trains and defending your moving fortress from rival conductors with your crew beside you.

Flexible Crafting and Build Systems

Scavenge as you go and turn whatever you find into useful gear, armor, and structures. Throw together compact bases for respawns and storage, craft upgraded gear as you move up the train, and adjust your loadout on the fly instead of sticking to a single pre-set build.

Social Multiplayer Sandbox

Enginefall is built around human opponents and allies. Raid trains with friends, defend your makeshift bases, and clash with other players over key routes and resources, with every encounter having the potential to flip from cooperation to conflict in a heartbeat.

The Collapse

No single event ended the world as we knew it, but a series of calamities known later as the Collapse, ranging from pandemics to solar flares and finally nuclear war as nations scrambled to survive by any means necessary. Fortunately, corporations and nations with foresight had already invested heavily in the Grid, which leading think-tanks propoased as a way to literally 'ride-out' the end of the world. Many of the world's wealthies moved onto the great Titan Trains, while many of the poorest simply perished or obtained work in the third class of the trains, becoming little more than organic cogs in the machine.

Titan Trains

The Titan Trains are the backbone of the Grid and of society as we know it. Each one is a city on wheels, complete with a population organised by classes, a Conductor who acts like a mayor and all the systems needed to sustan itself and its occupants.

Freerailers

'Freerailer' is a term (given to themselves) by people who live outside of the Titan Trains, usually aboard a Dagger Shuttle, or sometimes sharing one with comrades or family. The most successful live aboard liberated 'Marauder' trains. The passengers of Titan Trains see Freerailers as 'raiders' or 'train pirates', because that is what they are - thieves who raid Titan Trains to steal Fuel Cores and anything else not nailed down.

Dagger Shuttle

Originally, Dagger Shuttles were designed to service and supply Titan Trains utilising the Shuttle Gauge tracks that run alongside all Titan Gauge tracks. They can even dock aboard the larger trains. A stolen shuttle installed with ASCII - the jailbroken AI that does not follow the Titan Train's rules - also makes a great way for Freerailers to live outside of the system and commit raids on Titan Trains.
